When does billing start?
The day your first live charge settles. Test mode is free forever — build, demo and run your whole CI suite in sandbox without paying a cent.
Are there setup fees, seats or monthly minimums?
No. No per-seat pricing, no onboarding fee, no monthly minimum on Scale. You pay 8% + 25¢ per successful charge and nothing on failed or test charges.
What do refunds and chargebacks cost?
Refunds are free and return the original processing fee on full refunds. Disputes carry a $15 chargeback fee that is reversed in full when you win the case.
When does it make sense to move to Platform?
Once volume is high enough that interchange-plus beats blended pricing — typically past a few million per month — or when you need a marketplace ledger, a dedicated engineer and a custom DPA.
How long until I can take a real payment?
Building starts immediately in test mode. Going live takes as long as KYB does — usually minutes, since beneficial-owner data is tokenized in the browser.
